Meet Mr. Penguin.
Yep, that's his name.
And that's my now 4-year old son shortly after his second birthday, on the day Mr. Penguin first arrived to our home.
Mr. Penguin lives on A's bed, but he does make occasional forays into the living room or play room... especially during times of injury or illness.
Mr. Penguin is an important part of the bedtime routine.
Mr. Penguin has been to Connecticut, Niagara Falls, and all the states in between.
I'm not sure how long Mr. Penguin will be such an important part of our lives, but for now?
I just know it's awfully nice for my little guy to have a friend he can count on.

I still have the Pooh Bear that my Daddy bought for me before I was born. He was my best friend for many years. Even after I moved away from home, there were times that I would turn to him for comfort. Snugglies sometimes carry us through the most difficult of times at any age.
Enjoyed your FTF post. I had to laugh about "Mr. Penguin"...our son called our middle daughter "Mr. Penguin" before she was born (which morphed into "Miss Penguin" when we found out she was a girl!) Her nickname ever since has been "Princess Penguin", and she now collects penguins. (She's 7 now.)
My own daughter has only JUST started showing loyalty to one particular animal. A stuffed dog that she has named "Doggy".
She's creative, that one. :)
Oh my gosh, we almost wrote the same post this week! Be on the lookout for a FTF post about Koala in the near future. ;-)
how sweet...I wonder if our youngest will make a "friend" anytime soon? :)
