Basket of Indulgence, Week 2

This contest is now closed... come back tomorrow for another basket giveaway!

How fun is that?

Lucky little me was so excited to receive this in the mail two weeks ago. Lucky family members of mine were thrilled to get to share those Chex Mix bars with me too! I have had the pleasure of being asked to be a part of MyBlogSpark which basically means I get to try fun things like this and then offer a few of you the same opportunity. Not bad, eh? Not only is there a full box of Chex Mix bars in there, but there is also a nail brush, loofah sponge, massager, caramel scented lotion, and three chocolate scented candles.

I am very upfront about the fact that I make just about any kind of treat or baked good from scratch in this house. I make granola bars. I bake our bread. Yada yada yada. But I'm also not "above" packaged treats. And when I read the description of these Turtle Chex Mix bars --"These new snacks combine crunchy Chex pieces, pretzels and peanuts with chewy and indulgent ingredients like caramel and chocolate. And if that´s not enough, they have less than 150 calories per bar and provide at least 8 grams of whole grain per serving (48 grams recommended daily)!"-- there was little doubt in my mind that we would all like them. And we did. I have since purchased a second box of Chex Mix bars using this coupon. They're super handy to keep in the diaper bag for a quick snack for the kids or a last-ditch breakfast for a mommy who rushed out the door too fast!

I am delighted to be able to offer one of these baskets to THREE of my readers. The first basket was won last night by KCShipe. Congrats! I still have two more to give away! For the next two weeks, I'll be giving away one basket each week. The entry period will run from 6:00 AM Wednesday morning until 6:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday.

To enter, please leave a comment answering these questions:

What's the "newest" treat you've tried? Did you like it?

Please be sure your name is "clickable" or you leave an email address so I can contact you.

For a bonus entry, mention this giveaway on your blog then post your link in the comments.

Thanks... good luck!!!

Yum - I have been trying to win one of these for weeks, so maybe this time will be the charm.

Lately I have been loving fresh whole wheat blueberry pancakes for a snack. Might not be the most original treat, but they are so good. :)

Newest treat... well I recently purchased Pillsbury Toaster Strudels in a new flavor: Boston Creme Pie. Thought they might be yummy for a late night snack. I thought wrong. Ewe- gross! Now I'm wondering what I'm going to do with the rest of the package. I've still not tried the Chex Bars, so I'd love to win!

I recently tried Bagelfuls - they weren't my favorite treat by any means. :)

The newest treat I've tried is the Rold Gold Pretzel Waves in Cheddar. They were okay but not my favorite. They were an awkward shape to eat.

I recently tried putting whipped cream on top of my coffee at home and it is soooo yummy. And it's a ton cheaper than going out for coffee...and it makes every morning feel special. LOL!

Enter me please. I'd love to try these.

Today I tried a Kashi Protein bar (not really a treat except that it was chocolate and pnut butter). I didn't prefer it, but would eat it for the nutritional value.

My favorite newest treat is Chex Mix - the turtle flavor - but I haven't tried the bars yet! I received a sample bag in the mail while I was pregnant with my new baby daughter. I became hooked on it, and munched on it through the remainder of my pregnancy Yummy!

I have tried...a baby ruth candy bar? That is the only "goodie" I ahve had lately, and believe it or not, I'm pretty sure I never had one before!!! It was okay. I like homemade cookies or pastries better than "hardcore" candy:)

Cherry Pie Larabar, and it was yummy! But I decided I could just stick to dried cherrie and almonds and it's pretty similar. :)

I've been wanting to try these, since I love Chex. Probably the newest thing I've tried is the Keebler Pretzel crackers, which are good but a little too salty,

That basket makes me relax just looking at it. :)

My newest "treat" is the parfait from McDonald's. I just bought one a week ago and have been through the drive through twice since then for more. The best part is (compared to what I usually snack on) they're pretty nutritious.
